The Eve of Saint Andrew, Apostle


Dear Brothers Andrew:

Yesterday, as we gathered in our respective places of worship, we acknowledged the First Sunday of Advent and embarked upon a season of preparation for the coming of the Lord. My prayer this morning is that we won't allow our lives to become so crowded that they crowd out the real reason for both Advent and Christmas. I also pray that we will permit this to be a special time in each of our lives to be open in a renewed way to God's love.
